Offshore: Offshore means custom items are sourced from overseas, such as the USA, Europe, China, Vietnam, India, and beyond.

Stock: Stock items are what you see on the website. You can only choose from the available colours and decoration options for the items.

Custom: Custom refers to items that have been designed by you and created for you. These are custom-made according to your preferences, so if you have an original design then your items will be considered unique and one of a kind.

Turnaround time: This refers to how long your promo items will be in production and delivered. It starts from the moment you place your order to when the order is delivered.

Terms used during promotional product artwork design

Image files: Images have different file formats, all of which have different resolutions and effects. In the case of promotional products, we only accept the following file formats for artwork: .jpg, .png, .pdf, .ai, and .eps.

Vector: In some cases, we may require vector files for the artwork. If you have vector-based files in the eps or Adobe Illustrator formats, our team can edit the file and transform it into vector.

.jpg: .jpg is a flat file, which means it can’t be edited. It is also a common file format for images.

.png: .png is a file format that’s used when you want a transparent background so that you could replace the background with any colour you want. It is also a flat file that can’t be edited.

Print area: Print area refers to the whole area of the item where the printed logo or artwork will go.

Bleed area/marks: The bleed area is the outer limit for the artwork. The artwork shouldn’t go beyond this area in order to avoid white or any other unwanted colour showing at the edges. On the other hand, bleed marks show where the bleed finishes.

Trim marks: Trim marks signify where the artwork will be cropped.

Decoration/print options: Decoration options are the different ways you can print your artwork on promotional products. For more info, you can "learn more about decoration methods here. ":https://www.brandconnect.com.au/information/decoration-methods

Set-up fee: Set-up fee refers to how much it will cost to set-up a job for decoration, this includes creating the stencils, moulds and digitising artwork. This is on top of the cost for the item, decoration and delivery. The cost varies depending on the decoration method chosen, the number of colours used for the artwork, and the quantity of the artwork. When you’re ordering promotional products from us, you’ll be able to see how much the setup fee is in the breakdown on the product page.
